DreamLife Destiny gives energized one minute pitch in Impact Ventures category
Russell Peterson | Chief Caring Officer
08 June 2024
After being named a semifinalist in the Impact Ventures category ot the Minnesota Cup, the DreamLife Destiny Administrative Team attended the public reception in early June. The following is the one minute pitch Russell Peterson, our Chief Caring Officer, gave for DreamLife Destiny at the semifinalist event at the Minnesota Cup last night:
"I’m Russell Peterson, Chief Caring Officer for DreamLife Destiny. I’m here with my partner Tyler Segraves, our Chief Fun Officer and our incredible Destiny Associate admin team. Those titles can tell you a lot about who we are.
DreamLife Destiny supports individuals with disabilities (we call DreamLifers) to live independently in their homes and community through our dual service support program of education and emergency assistance that uniquely focuses on community connections and self advocacy.
I could tell you a lot about our incredible million dollar growth, our 24 clients we call Dreamlifers, our 14 Associates, and our waiting list of 60 potential clients, but what’s really important is our DreamLifers.
I want you to hear about our first DreamLifer, Amanda. She lives in a motorized wheelchair, was a bit depressed and angry at her past. With us, she has learned to forgive herself and with our support is happier, a leader at events, a scheduler at Allina, and a board member at Advocating Change Together.
So, come along for the ride. You'll definitely change lives. You might just live your DreamLife and find your own Destiny!
Thank you for the opportunity."
