Destiny Associate DSP

As a Destiny Associate you will provide individualized and community supports to adults with disabilities through our unique IHS with Training or Individualized Home Supports program. You will support individuals to increase their independent living skills and build individual and community success through positive supports and various training techniques including: trust building, role modeling, client training and education, organizing, budgeting, healthy home strategies, cleaning and home maintenance, cooking, driving or accompanying into the community, special event assistance, working out or physical fitness, documenting progress and goals, and using field applications.

Skills needed include: effective communication, computer and technology skills, specialty software apps, networking, group work, leadership, basic first aid knowledge, various education techniques, and some office skills. But above all else you must care.

Destiny Associates work approximately 95% of the time in the field in individual's homes, in the community, at special events, and during urgent situations. The rest will be in required training, development to increae skills, paperwork, and other support duties.

Our In Person Services Associate, will manage services and oversee staff of our unique dual services program in IHS with Training or Individualized Home Supports program and 24 Hour Emergency Assistance. You will support individuals to increase their independent living skills and build individual and community success through positive supports and various training and educational techniques. This will include writing paperwork, developing systems, enhancing communication, managing staff, networking, doing intakes, monitoring regular supports, and working with a dedicated admin team to build metro area specific practices. You will support individuals to increase their independent living skills and build individual and community success through positive supports and various training and educational techniques.

Skills needed include: effective communication, management experience, computer and technology skills, specialty software applications and software, networking, group work, leadership, basic first aid knowledge, various education techniques, and office skills. But above all else you must care.

You will also need a car with valid driver's license and current insurance as you will be driving. Since we are new, our clients tend to be all over the city and until we build enough capacity in specific areas, you may be driving quite a bit. We do reimburse for mileage and this is a fusion position of working in the office in our primary office in Maple Grove, at home, and in the field, so there is flexibility.

You will spend some of the time in the field with clients we call DreamLifers to stay connected to the work. Approximately 1/3 of your time may be in the field with individuals or at our community building group events. Since we are a startup your roles and responsibilities may vary with special assignments and other tasks as may be needed. This is a very exciting position to learn how to start, enhance, and grow a program.
